Overview
Faith means believing God at His word and trusting Him completely, regardless of what we see or feel. Abraham exemplified this faith by believing God's promise of a son when it seemed humanly impossible. True faith produces obedience and perseverance, even when God calls us to difficult tasks.
Key Scriptures
"And being fully convinced that God had power to do what he had promised. This is why 'it was credited to him as righteousness.' The words 'it was credited to him' were written not for him alone, but also for us" (Romans 4:21-23, NIV).
"The Lord your God, who is going before you, will himself fight for you, as he did for you in Egypt, before your very eyes" (Deuteronomy 1:30, NIV).
Application
When facing obstacles, remember Abraham's example and deliberately choose to trust God's promises rather than your circumstances, knowing He is faithful to accomplish what He has declared.
