Wicked

357 scripture references across 18 subtopics — Nave's Topical Bible

Overview

The Bible consistently portrays the wicked as those who reject God's ways and pursue sin. Though they may prosper temporarily, Scripture assures us that their strength is ultimately broken and their end is destruction. In contrast, the righteous are blessed with stability, protection, and eternal hope in God.

Key Scriptures

"Blessed is the man who walks not in the counsel of the wicked, nor stands in the way of sinners, nor sits in the seat of scoffers" (Psalm 1:1, ESV).

"The wicked shall not stand in the judgment, nor sinners in the congregation of the righteous; for the LORD knows the way of the righteous, but the way of the wicked will perish" (Psalm 1:5-6, ESV).

"The LORD knows the days of the blameless, and their inheritance will abide forever; they are not put to shame in evil times" (Psalm 37:18-19, ESV).

Application

Examine your own path—are you walking with the righteous or following the counsel of the wicked—and align your life accordingly with God's Word.
