Gospel

The Gospel is the good news of salvation through Jesus Christ, who inaugurated the New Covenant promised in Scripture, replacing the old covenant and offering complete forgiveness and direct access to God.

Overview

The Gospel centers on Jesus Christ's redemptive work through His death and resurrection, establishing a New Covenant that fulfills Old Testament prophecies. This covenant writes God's law on believers' hearts, grants complete forgiveness of sins, and establishes a direct relationship with God no longer mediated through external ceremonies.

Key Scriptures

"Behold, the days are coming, declares the Lord, when I will make a new covenant with the house of Israel and the house of Judah" (Jeremiah 31:31, ESV). "I will put my law within them, and I will write it on their hearts. And I will be their God, and they shall be my people" (Jeremiah 31:33, ESV). "For if that first covenant had been faultless, there would have been no occasion to look for a second" (Hebrews 8:7, ESV).

Application

Trust in Christ's finished work on the cross for complete salvation, knowing that through faith in the Gospel, your sins are fully forgiven and you have direct access to God through His Spirit.
