Key Scriptures
"The laborer deserves his wages" (1 Timothy 5:18, ESV). James writes, "Look! The wages you failed to pay the workers who mowed your fields are crying out against you" (James 5:4, NIV). Jesus taught, "The kingdom of heaven is like a landowner who went out early in the morning to hire workers for his vineyard. He agreed to pay them a denarius for the day" (Matthew 20:1-2, NIV).
