Overview
God created the stars on the fourth day as lights in the sky to separate day from night and to serve as signs for seasons and years (Genesis 1:14-16). Throughout Scripture, stars testify to God's infinite power and wisdom. They appear in prophecy and revelation as symbols of believers, spiritual authority, and divine purpose.
Key Scriptures
"I, Jesus, have sent my angel to testify to you about these things for the churches. I am the root and the offspring of David, the bright morning star" (Revelation 22:16, ESV).
"I will also give him the morning star" (Revelation 2:28, ESV).
"And those who are wise shall shine like the brightness of the sky above; and those who turn many to righteousness, like the stars forever and ever" (Daniel 12:3, ESV).
Application
Recognizing God's creative majesty displayed in the stars should awaken wonder at His person and deepen trust in His eternal promises and purposes.
