Overview
The Red Sea featured prominently in Israel's wilderness journey and served as both a barrier and a boundary for God's people. Its waters became the scene of God's greatest miracle during the Exodus, when He parted the sea to allow Israel to escape Egyptian pursuit. The Red Sea also marked the southeastern border of the Promised Land and reminded Israel of God's protective power throughout their journey.
