Overview
Scripture reveals that God's Word is central to spiritual transformation and obedience. Throughout history, godly leaders prioritized the reading, teaching, and proclamation of Scripture. When the Book of the Law was discovered in the temple, King Josiah immediately sought to understand and obey it. Similarly, Jehoshaphat sent teachers throughout Judah to instruct the people in God's Word, resulting in the fear of the Lord spreading throughout the land. Jesus Himself modeled this priority by regularly attending synagogue, reading Scripture publicly, and teaching its meaning to those who would listen.
