Judge

Biblical judges were appointed leaders responsible for administering justice and settling disputes among God's people according to His law. They were to be men of integrity, wisdom, and fear of God who ruled impartially and upheld righteousness.

Overview

God established judges to maintain order and justice within Israel. These leaders were selected based on character qualifications and were given the solemn responsibility to judge cases fairly, without partiality or corruption. Judges served as administrators of God's law, protecting the vulnerable and upholding His standards of righteousness among His people.
