The first Azubah is mentioned as the wife of Caleb (son of Hezron) and mother of several sons, including Jerioth. The second and more significant Azubah was the daughter of Shilhi and the mother of Jehoshaphat, the reforming king of Judah. Her son Jehoshaphat removed high places and Asherim from the land, sent Levites to teach the Law throughout Judah, and enjoyed a peaceful reign. Azubah's name appears in the royal genealogy establishing Jehoshaphat's legitimacy.
