Overview
God's righteousness is His absolute moral perfection and justice. Unlike human righteousness, which is imperfect and incomplete, God's righteousness is infinite, unchanging, and the standard for all truth and justice. His righteous character assures believers that He judges fairly and acts justly in all circumstances.
Key Scriptures
"Great is the Lord and greatly to be praised in the city of our God! His holy mountain, beautiful in elevation, is the joy of all the earth" (Psalm 48:10, ESV). "O Lord, you are righteous, but we are covered with shame" (Daniel 9:7, NIV). "And the angel in charge of the waters said, 'You are just in these judgments, O Holy One, you who are and who ever were'" (Revelation 16:5, NIV).
Application
When facing injustice or suffering, anchor your faith in God's perfect righteousness, trusting that He will ultimately judge all things fairly and vindicate His people.
