Grace of God

God's grace is His unmerited favor toward sinners, freely given through Christ without regard to human worthiness or works. It is the foundation of salvation and the Christian life.

Overview

Grace is God's divine favor bestowed on humanity not because of merit but purely from His loving character. The Old Testament reveals God's gracious election of Israel, while the New Testament unveils grace fully accomplished through Jesus Christ's redemptive work. Grace is both God's initiative toward us and the enabling power for Christian living.
