Overview
The name Shimei appears multiple times in Scripture, referring to different individuals across generations. Most notably, Shimei descendants served as Levites in temple worship, worship leadership, and administrative roles during the reigns of David, Solomon, and later kings. These men were set apart for God's service in Israel's religious and governmental structures.
