The Clan of Abiezer in Manasseh

Numbers 26:30 identifies the Abiezrites as one of the families descended from Manasseh, establishing their place among God's chosen people. First Chronicles 27:12 provides additional detail, revealing that this same Abiezer served as commander of the ninth division of David's army, leading 24,000 men during the ninth month of each year. His hometown of Anathoth, located in the territory of Benjamin, would later become famous as the birthplace of the prophet Jeremiah.
