Ziha

Ziha was a leader of the Nethinim (temple servants) whose descendants returned from Babylonian exile to serve in the Jerusalem temple.

Overview

Ziha appears in the genealogical records of those who returned from exile under Zerubbabel and Ezra. As a Nethinim leader, Ziha's family was part of the temple support staff dedicated to assisting the Levites in sanctuary work. The Nethinim held a distinct role in Israel's worship structure, performing essential duties that enabled proper temple function.
