Zalmon

Zalmon was a mountain in ancient Israel, notable for its association with military strategy during the judges period and later referenced in poetic Scripture.

Overview

Zalmon (also spelled Salmon) was a wooded mountain in the region of Shechem. It appears in Scripture primarily as a landmark during Abimelech's conflict with the men of Shechem, where it served as a strategic location for gathering wood. The mountain is also referenced poetically in the Psalms.
