Reward

God promises rewards to those who obey His commands and blessings to those who keep His covenant. Disobedience, conversely, brings judgment and removal of blessings.

Overview

Throughout Scripture, God establishes a clear principle: obedience to His Word brings blessing and reward, while disobedience brings judgment. In Leviticus 26, God outlines both the blessings of covenant faithfulness and the consequences of rebellion, demonstrating that our choices have eternal significance.

Key Scriptures

"If you walk in my statutes and observe my commandments and do them, then I will give you rains in their season, and the land shall yield its increase, and the trees of the field shall yield their fruit" (Leviticus 26:3-4, ESV).

"But if you will not listen to me and will not do all these commandments... I will appoint over you sudden terror, wasting disease and fever that consume the eyes and cause life to pine away" (Leviticus 26:14-16, ESV).

Application

Examine your obedience to God's Word daily, trusting that faithfulness to Scripture yields spiritual rewards both now and in eternity, while remembering that God's discipline reflects His love for His people.
