Overview
Naaman, commander of the Syrian army, contracted leprosy but learned of a prophet in Israel who could heal him. Through the testimony of an Israelite servant girl and divine direction, Naaman traveled to meet the prophet Elisha. Though initially offended by Elisha's simple instruction to wash in the Jordan River, Naaman's servants persuaded him to obey, resulting in complete healing and his conversion to faith in the true God.
Key Scriptures

"And Elisha sent a messenger to him, saying, 'Go and wash in the Jordan seven times, and your flesh shall be restored, and you shall be clean'" (2 Kings 5:10, ESV).
