Overview

Nachor (also spelled Nahor) was a descendant of Shem and an ancestor of Abraham in the genealogical line leading to Jesus Christ. He appears in Luke's genealogy as part of the historical record establishing Jesus's legal and ancestral connection to the line of promise given to Abraham.
