Overview
Shobab was one of the sons born to King David and Bathsheba in Jerusalem. While Scripture records his name in the royal genealogy, little is known about his life or significance beyond his lineage. He represents one of many sons in David's household during a time of great prosperity and expansion of the kingdom.

Application
Shobab's example reminds us that not all biblical figures are called to public prominence; some are remembered simply as part of God's larger story of His covenant people and David's royal line leading to Christ.
