Overview
Simeon was a faithful believer who had been promised by the Holy Spirit that he would not die before seeing the Lord's Messiah. When Mary and Joseph brought the infant Jesus to the temple in Jerusalem, Simeon recognized Him immediately as the long-awaited Savior. His life exemplifies patient faith and spiritual sensitivity to the Holy Spirit's leading.
