Overview

Machpelah, located near Hebron in Canaan, was a significant burial cave that Abraham purchased from Ephron the Hittite. This cave became the family tomb where Abraham, Sarah, Isaac, Rebekah, Leah, and Jacob were buried, making it a foundational landmark of God's covenant promises to His people.
