Overview
Uel was among the sons of Bani who had taken foreign wives during the Babylonian exile. When Ezra discovered this violation of God's covenant law, he led the people in confession and repentance, calling them to put away their foreign wives to restore their relationship with the Lord and maintain Israel's distinctive calling.
