Overview
Ophni was a city located within the tribal territory of Benjamin during the time of Joshua's conquest and distribution of Canaan. Though only briefly mentioned in Scripture, it represents one of many towns assigned to Benjamin as part of God's covenant promise to Israel. The town's inclusion in the biblical record affirms the historical detail and geographical specificity of the land division.
