Overview

Lamentations contains five poems lamenting the fall of Jerusalem to Babylon. Written in the aftermath of devastating judgment, the book honestly expresses sorrow, confusion, and loss while affirming God's justice and mercy. Though deeply sorrowful, Lamentations demonstrates that grief and faith can coexist, and that God remains faithful even in judgment.
