Overview
Kallai was among the priests who returned from exile in Babylon under Zerubbabel's leadership around 538 BC. His name appears in the registry of those who helped rebuild the temple and restore proper worship in Jerusalem. As a priestly descendant, he played a vital role in re-establishing God's ordained system of worship after the exile's devastation.
