Overview
Moses sent twelve spies into Canaan to assess the land God promised to Israel. While all spies confirmed the land's fertility, ten brought back a fearful report emphasizing the strength of its inhabitants and fortified cities. Joshua and Caleb urged the people to trust God's promise, but the majority report sparked rebellion and doubt among the Israelites, resulting in forty years of wilderness wandering.
