Overview
Jehoiachin became king of Judah at age eighteen but reigned for only three months before the Babylonian siege of Jerusalem forced his surrender. Nebuchadnezzar took him captive along with members of the royal household, officials, and skilled workers, fulfilling God's warnings through the prophets. Despite his brief and troubled reign, Scripture records his later restoration to honor in captivity.
