Harvest

Harvest in Scripture represents both the literal gathering of crops and the spiritual ingathering of God's people, illustrating God's provision and the urgency of spiritual work.

Overview

The harvest appears throughout Scripture as a physical reality in ancient Israel's agricultural calendar and as a powerful spiritual metaphor. God established harvest festivals as times of thanksgiving and remembrance of His faithfulness. The harvest also symbolizes the end times gathering of believers and the urgency of gospel proclamation before Christ's return.
