Overview
Egypt plays an important role throughout Scripture as a major world power. The Egyptian people descended from Ham through Mizraim (Genesis 10:13-14). Israel's relationship with Egypt ranged from refuge during famine (Genesis 12:10) to slavery and deliverance, demonstrating God's power and faithfulness. Even centuries later, Egypt remained strategically important to Israel's survival and faith.

"So Pharaoh called Abram and said, 'What is this you have done to me?'" (Genesis 12:18, ESV). "Thus says the LORD: Behold, I am about to give the city into the hand of the king of Babylon, and he shall burn it with fire. Application
Remember that God governs all nations and peoples, and He calls us to treat others with dignity, even former enemies, recognizing our shared humanity as image-bearers of God.
