Bilhah

Rachel's maidservant given to Jacob as a concubine, who bore Jacob two sons: Dan and Naphtali.

Bilhah was given to Rachel by her father Laban. When Rachel was barren, she gave Bilhah to Jacob "as a wife" (though technically a concubine). Bilhah bore Dan and Naphtali, whose descendants became two tribes of Israel. After Rachel's death, Bilhah was involved in a scandal: Reuben, Jacob's firstborn son, slept with Bilhah. This act cost Reuben his birthright. Bilhah is rarely mentioned outside genealogies, but her sons' tribes played significant roles in Israel's history.
