Temple

The Temple represents God's dwelling place among His people, culminating in Jesus Christ as the ultimate temple and the church as His living temple.

Overview

Throughout Scripture, the temple served as the center of worship and God's presence with Israel. In the Old Testament, God's glory dwelt in the physical temple in Jerusalem. However, Jesus Christ fulfilled the temple's purpose as God incarnate, and believers now form the living temple of the Holy Spirit, indwelt by God's presence.

Key Scriptures

"I will make a covenant of peace with them. It shall be an everlasting covenant with them. And I will set them in their land and multiply them, and will set my sanctuary in their midst forevermore." (Ezekiel 37:26, ESV)
