Righteous

The righteous are those who trust in Christ and live according to God's Word, separated from sin and devoted to obedience. God's favor rests upon the righteous, providing protection, provision, and eternal blessing.

Overview

Righteousness in Scripture refers to living in right relationship with God through faith in Christ and obedience to His commands. The righteous are set apart by God, distinguished by their trust in Him and their separation from worldly sin. God promises His favor, protection, and abundant goodness to those who walk in righteousness.

"Oh, how abundant is your goodness, which you have stored up for those who fear you and worked out for those who take refuge in you" (Psalm 31:19, ESV).
