Oreb

Oreb was a rock or hill in Midian where Gideon's forces defeated the Midianite army, and where the Midianite prince Oreb was killed during Israel's miraculous deliverance.

Overview

The rock of Oreb served as a significant landmark during Gideon's victory over the Midianites. After the initial defeat of Midian's forces, the Israelites pursued the fleeing enemy and killed the Midianite princes Oreb and Zeeb at this location. This victory demonstrated God's power to deliver His people through seemingly impossible circumstances.
