Overview
Noah lived during humanity's most corrupt period and is described as a "righteous man, blameless in his generation" (Genesis 6:9, ESV). God commanded him to build an ark to save his family and representatives of all animals from the coming flood. Through faith and obedience, Noah and his descendants became the foundation for post-flood humanity, establishing a new covenant with God marked by the rainbow sign.
