Overview
Nahaliel (meaning "valley of God") was one of the camping stations of Israel during their forty-year wilderness wandering after the exodus from Egypt. Listed among the stopping points on their route eastward, Nahaliel represents God's provision and guidance as He led His people toward Canaan. The name itself reflects the divine care extended throughout their journey.
Key Scriptures
"From Mattanah to Nahaliel, from Nahaliel to Bamoth" (Numbers 21:19, ESV). This verse records Nahaliel among the sequence of Israel's encampments during their journey through the wilderness east of the Jordan River, following their victory over Sihon, king of the Amorites.
Application
Just as God faithfully guided Israel through each station of their wilderness journey, He provides guidance and sustenance for believers today as we journey toward our ultimate inheritance in Christ.
