Overview
Jehoram became king of Judah after his father Jehoshaphat's death and immediately eliminated his brothers to secure his throne. He married Ahab's daughter Athaliah and followed the idolatrous practices of the northern kingdom, turning Judah away from the Lord. Despite his evil reign, God preserved His covenant with David by not destroying the kingdom entirely.
