Overview
Ziphion was one of the sons of Gad, who was himself a son of Jacob and Zilpah. He is listed among the family members who accompanied Jacob into Egypt during the severe famine recorded in Genesis. His inclusion in the genealogical accounts emphasizes the growth and expansion of Jacob's descendants into the nation of Israel.
