Overview
Jesus taught the parable of the wicked husbandmen to demonstrate God's long-suffering care for His vineyard and the tragic rejection He would face. The vineyard represents God's kingdom, the husbandman is God Himself, and the tenants represent Israel's religious leaders. This parable reveals the pattern of rejecting God's prophets and ultimately His Son.
