Overview
Hannah lived during Israel's judges period as one of two wives of Elkanah. Though childless and grieved, she made a vow to the Lord, promising that if He granted her a son, she would dedicate him to God's service. The Lord answered her prayer, and she bore Samuel, whom she fulfilled her vow by giving to the tabernacle ministry under Eli the priest.
