Overview
Ezion-Gaber served as an important stopping point for the Israelites as they traveled through the wilderness. Located near the Gulf of Aqaba (an arm of the Red Sea), this site marked a significant waypoint in Israel's exodus journey. The name appears in the historical record of Israel's wilderness wanderings as they moved from Mount Hor toward the plains of Moab.
