Employer

Employers hold a sacred responsibility before God to treat their workers with justice, fairness, and dignity. Scripture calls employers to pay wages promptly, respect their workers' humanity, and recognize their accountability to God.

Overview

The Bible establishes clear principles for how employers should conduct themselves. God values the welfare of workers and expects employers to act with integrity and compassion. Employers will answer to God for how they have treated those under their authority.

"You shall not oppress a hired servant who is poor and needy, whether he is one of your brothers or one of the sojourners who are in your land within your towns." (Deuteronomy 24:14, ESV)
