Overview
The Garden of Eden, located in the east and watered by rivers, was planted by God and filled with trees pleasing to the sight and good for food. God placed Adam in the garden to tend and keep it, establishing humanity's purpose in stewarding creation. Eden demonstrated God's provision, order, and the beauty of His created world before the Fall.
Key Scriptures

"The Lord God commanded the man, saying, 'From any tree of the garden you may eat freely; but from the tree of the knowledge of good and evil you shall not eat, for in the day that you eat from it you will surely die'" (Genesis 2:16-17, NASB).
"So the Lord God sent him out from the garden of Eden, to cultivate the ground from which he was taken" (Genesis 3:23, NASB).

Reflect on God's original design for human flourishing through obedience and stewardship, and recognize how sin disrupted that perfect communion with our Creator.
