Vaniah

1 scripture reference — Nave's Topical Bible

Overview

Vaniah appears in the genealogical record of those who had married foreign women during the Babylonian exile and its aftermath. When Ezra discovered these marriages violated God's covenant law, he called the people to separate from their foreign wives to maintain spiritual purity and covenant obedience. Vaniah was among those who responded to this call.
