Parmashta

Overview

Parmashta was the ninth son of Haman the Agagite, the chief enemy of the Jewish people during the reign of King Ahasuerus of Persia. When Haman's plot to destroy the Jews was reversed through the courage of Queen Esther and the favor of God, Parmashta and his nine brothers were among those executed by the king's command.

"The sons of Haman the son of Hammedatha, the enemy of the Jews, were killed; Parshandatha, Dalphon, Aspatha, Poratha, Adalia, Aridatha, Parmashta, Arisai, Aridai and Vajezatha" (Esther 9:9, NIV).
