Overview
Throughout Scripture, God uses panic as a divine weapon against His enemies. When God fights for His people, He often sends a supernatural fear (Hebrew: 'ehimah') upon their adversaries, causing confusion and defeat without requiring direct battle. This divine panic demonstrates God's sovereignty and His protection of His covenant people.

"The peoples heard of it and trembled; pangs seized the inhabitants of Philistia" (Exodus 15:14, ESV). "The Lord threw the Arameans into a panic, so that they fled" (2 Kings 7:6, NIV).
