5 scripture references — Nave's Topical Bible

Overview

Pallu (also spelled Phallu) was the second son of Reuben, Jacob's firstborn son. He appears in the genealogical records of Israel as the founder of the Palluite family clan. Though little is recorded about Pallu's personal life or accomplishments, his inclusion in Scripture's genealogies demonstrates God's careful attention to His covenant people and their lineage.

Key Scriptures

"The sons of Reuben the firstborn of Israel: Hanoch, Pallu, Hezron and Carmi" (Genesis 46:9, NIV).

"These were the names of the sons of Reuben: Hanoch, Pallu, Hezron and Carmi" (Exodus 6:14, NIV).

"The descendants of Reuben the firstborn of Israel: through Hanoch, the Hanochite clan; through Pallu, the Palluite clan" (Numbers 26:5, NIV).

Application
