8 scripture references across 3 subtopics — Nave's Topical Bible

Overview

Nahshon son of Amminadab served as prince of the tribe of Judah during Israel's exodus from Egypt and wilderness journey. He was the brother-in-law of Aaron, having married Elisheba, Aaron's sister. Nahshon demonstrated leadership by being first among the tribal leaders to present an offering for the tabernacle dedication.

Key Scriptures

"His division and those registered of them were 74,600" (Numbers 1:7, ESV)—Nahshon led a substantial tribal contingent. "Nahshon the son of Amminadab, of the tribe of Judah" (Numbers 2:3, ESV)—he held the position of tribal prince. "And his offering was one silver plate whose weight was 130 shekels, one silver bowl of 70 shekels, according to the shekel of the sanctuary" (Numbers 7:17, ESV)—showing his willingness to give generously for God's house.

Application
