Overview

Jehozadak served as high priest during Judah's final days before the Babylonian exile. When Nebuchadnezzar conquered Jerusalem, Jehozadak was taken captive, but his priestly lineage was preserved through the exile. His son Jeshua would later become instrumental in rebuilding the temple and restoring Jewish worship after King Cyrus's decree allowing the Jews to return.
