Overview
The Jubilee year (every fiftieth year) was God's ordained time for emancipation in Israel. All Hebrew slaves were to be released with generous provisions, and property was to be returned to original owners. This system prevented permanent bondage and ensured economic justice, demonstrating God's concern for the vulnerable and oppressed.
