Overview
Eltekeh (also spelled Altaqe) was a fortified city in the territory of Judah where a decisive military engagement occurred during the reign of King Hezekiah around 701 BC. When the Assyrian king Sennacherib threatened Jerusalem, God intervened miraculously to protect His people, and Eltekeh became the site of this remarkable deliverance.
